The Statistical Society of Australia Inc. will assemble at the recently crowned 'Australia's Best Meeting Hotel' the stunning Sofitel Melbourne 30 June to 3 July 2008 for the largest statisticians conference in the Pacific Rim. The theme "Celebrating Diversity" will address the latest developments in the theory and practice of statistics and their applications in the challenging local and global environment. The conference will cover the many changing dynamics in the industry to empower organisations to evolve in statistical methodolgy and application.

Payment for Accommodation
Credit card details will be required to confirm any accommodation booking. Your card details will be used to hold your room with the hotel. One night’s tariff is required to secure your booking; this payment is required at the time you make your booking. The balance is payable directly by you, on check out.

Cancellation of Accommodation
All accommodation reservations from the time of booking are subject to a 100% cancellation fee unless stated otherwise by individual hotels

Deadline for Accommodation Bookings
The deadline for acceptance of accommodation bookings at the conference is 21 March 2008. Subject to availability, bookings will be accepted after this date, however the rate cannot be guaranteed. The Conference Managers will endeavour to secure the hotel and room style that you require. However, this is subject to availability at the time of booking.
