We are delighted to announce that the 3rd Conference of the International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies will be hosted by the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, from 8th to 10th July, 2009.
The Conference theme will be Mediation and Conflict: Translation and Culture in a Global Context. The Call for Panel Proposals will be issued in October 2007, and the Call for Papers in February 2008.
The Organising Committee, chaired by Rita Wilson and Brigid Maher of the Monash Translation and Interpreting Studies Program, has plans for an exciting academic and social program. The conference will be preceded on 7th July by a workshop on broadcasting in a multilingual and multiplatform digital environment, run by SBS, Australia's multicultural and multilingual public broadcaster.
