We also love the name because the fox is pretty clever at getting things done.

Fox Events was established in 1994, under the then name of Conference Consultants Australia, to assist corporations with managing events. Having worked closely with leading public and private organisations over the years, our executives and staff are finely tuned to the sensitivities and aspirations of both sectors. This understanding, plus our day-to-day skill in handling projects, has made us the first-choice event manager for many well-known local and international organisations, including BHP Billiton, the Australian Tax Office and the Victorian Principals Association.

Our Principal and Founder, Jenelle Butler Fox studied accounting, but working in the publishing industry saw her attending many functions, sparking an interest in the event industry. She established Conference Consultants Australia in Brisbane in 1994 with a staff of three, moved it to Melbourne in 1998, and nurtured it to the point where it now employs 10 full time staff and up to 15 contractors. The company name was changed in 2005 to Fox Events, as part of an expansion that includes a regional branch and national offices being established.
HOW IS YOUR EVENT DEVELOPED?
First, we discuss your goals and objectives, gaining an invaluable insight into your event. By understanding your commercial environment, Fox Events can focus its skills on developing the best possible event solutions and objectives. We work on a three-step process:
1. Discovery Phase
To better understand your needs, and those of your customers, we 'discover' how your organisation and your event works, how your internal systems are structured, how you market yourselves.
2. Design & Production Phase
Through consultation we begin to visualise the event’s structure and objectives. Upon appointment of our services you are provided with a management team, made up of representatives from our six management departments:

- Creative Design & Printing
- Accommodation/travel Reservations
- Finance & Accounting
Comprehensive strategies, time lines, budgets and marketing plans will be developed for you to consider. Once you are satisfied with these, we proceed to the production phase. Work commences, bringing your event to life.
3. Deployment Phase
We work with you to ensure all strategies are being adhered to, objectives are being met and, most importantly, we are performing to your complete satisfaction and the event is shaping to be the most successful ever staged. Your ideas are transformed into the program. Our experienced event managers keep the project on schedule, ensuring it reflects your objectives and desires.
MAKING IT WORK
Each department head is at the coalface of all client, sponsor, delegate, exhibitor and supplier communication. Department heads meets internally a minimum of twice weekly and more often as required.. As part of the project plan, each department head’s responsibilities and deadlines are identified, and at each committee meeting the department head gives a ‘Status Report’ that relates directly to the project plan, thus keeping you informed of all developments.
The key is our commitment to ensuring all communication channels are open at all times, including a dedicated Conference Hotline.
